California Mountain Quail.

There's a wild Valley Quail that's takin an interest in my girls... If he figures out how to get in the pen, I wont kick him out ;-) I first became interested in quail watching them on backpacking trips. It would be wonderful to have a flock in the backyard... once I get a bigger backyard.

Although, I heard that even if you raise them in a domestic environment you need a hunting license to slaughter them... that would be a bit of a bother.

1) A nice big aviary.

More cortunix, any color but white, I have enough of those.
Ring neck Phesants in the spring.
Some Bobwhites too. Although then I might over run myself with birds.
That big aviary that the DH promised in spring (he's a big dreamer at times

)
