Any idea what would make them look chalky? Could it just be the way that bird's eggs are?

That's just the way some of them are.
Some of mine are shiny, some chalky, some even look like little balls of mint chocolate chip icecream...

... just depends on the birds.

Thanks Jody!! It will definitely give me something different to look at, at least. I am getting tired of hatching blue, splash, or black chicks all the time!
