About to start my very first incubation.

I have a Maticoopx 30.

I've watched a bunch of videos, read a bunch of posts. Going to do it inside the house. House stays between 77-70 through the day/night. AC running to balance my humidity.

BCM, with rooster a French Blue Copper Maran, hens are ameracauna, easter eggers, wyandottes (gold and silver) a production red and a couple of Calico Princesses.

Candle at two weeks, discard non-developers.

Lock down with 3 days to go and leave them to it until they're done.

Am I missing anything?

I've raised chicks before, I have a good brood set up.

Use a couple external thermometers, adjust temp on incubator to keep them at 99.5, don’t worry about temp on incubator, also rotate eggs within the incubator so cool spots don’t cause eggs to hatch days apart, but mostly have fun!

want to plug into a a surge protector
This is a good idea, I may get a UPC back up battery so if I have a power outage it will smooth out the transition when the back up generator kicks in when I start my hatch in a couple of weeks
