A believer cake with red food coloring added. Gross is what it is, people often use way too much and it changes the taste and texture of the cake.

I really like it, especially woth the right frosting. But it is definitely a fake tasting cake

My kiddo wanted one for his birthday, but for the reason you mention, I made one instead of buying it. I used the correct cocoa (dont remember which now) to get the color, but needless to say, he was extremely disappointed that it wasnt super red. You cant explain to an 13 yr old, how red changes the taste and texture, and makes the cake gross.

Ah, poor guy! I get it, they are fun and he had an idea in his head of what it would look like.
