Does anyone happen to know the recommended withdrawl time for Doxycycline? My vet did not know and was not able to find anything in the literature available to her. She called the state vet, spoke to the "poultry expert" who was on google looking for that information before he said he didn't know either. So she has recommended not eating the eggs for 28 days just to be safe. I was wondering if anyone here maybe knew what the withdrawl time is, because 3 weeks is a long time and once my hen starts laying again (she hasn't since we pulled her in from the coop) I'm afraid I won't be able to tell the difference between her egg or the one other brown egg layer who is currently laying.

72 hours.

Thank you so much! I will forward this information to my vet in the unlikely event that she ever needs it again (she doesn't really see chickens and was pretty much giving it a crack as a favor to me).
