I would think any goo 1/2 to 1 hp motor at 1740 rpm would work.

Darn ting is all I have is 3450 rpm motors.

So I used a gas motor- the nice thing is no electic cord to run and if I need I can speed things up a bit.

the motor i put on mine is a 1 1/2hp i got off a heat pump. it's 1750 rpm It definately doesn't need that much motor but i had it

I have a motor from a washing machine that died. I am hoping to make a plucker this year but realistically it will probably be a year from now or more. My DH loved the utube videos showing the plucker and thinks it's a good idea also.

Im about half way done with my plucker im waiting on the fingers. but im getting my feather plate and suff
put together now with the drive system
