I am very worried about two of my chicks, one Silkie that I rescued about a week ago didn't look very good to start with, he or she has very patchy feathers and will hardly walk. Now, it has developed a sort of "twitch" with its head.. It will barely walk so it just lays there and twitches its head and holds its eyes closed.
What can I do to help it? I've provided it extra electrolytes to try and boost its energy. What could be wrong with it? Should I put it down or is there a way to help it without being to costly?
Also I have a leghorn mix whom I've raised and is now about a month old. It has begun to act the same way...
