Wobbly Chick

I have a six week old bantam cochin chick that seems to be off balance. She is eating and drinking fine as well as running around the run and scratching with the other chicks but sometimes it seems that she almost can't catch her balance. She uses her wings to brace herself so that she doesn't fall over when she stops or first stands up. Any ideas to what might be causing the problem?

It could be a vitamin deficiency, an ear infection or internal parasites.

Or worse case, Mareks. She's just starting to show the balance problems. Pray for a vitamin deficiency!

What should I look for or try to do to help her?

Get some Poly Vi Sol liquid baby supplement WITHOUT THE IRON and give her a drop or two a day. Try that for a few days and see how it goes. If there are any other symptoms let us know. There are lots of threads here about weak wobbly chicks (and worming) so use the search feature above and do some research.
