I have a 19 week old yellow buff rooster that is in an inside pen and has started to walk funny, he is wobbly when he walks. His legs kinda bow out when he stands and he wobbles when he tries to walk. He has no breathing problems, eyes are clear, poop is normal, eats and drinks fine. The hens with him are fine, they are still on starter but i have started to mix some layer in there food. He has not been fighting and has no wounds. Any suggestions?

rickets, i'd bet. he needs more calcium and phosphorus for those weak bones! give him some yogurt everyday for a few weeks, and maybe some of the hen's crushed oyster shells (if you use them). he'll get better in no time!

oyster shell and yogurt. will give it a try. will the other roosters have the same problem, might as well treat them all at the same time. I thought it would be viral not nutriatinial.
