Woe is me! My girls are MOLTING!

We have had a very cool summer here. Aug is the first time we have hit high 80 and 90 steady for more than a day. So that might be a factor for moulting and blown coats. Past 2 weeks it has been hot and i know most of the country is just like that now.

weve had a mild summer and mine seem to have been molting 4EVER!!! its been 3 weeks at least and im ready for more eggs!!!!! ive got some more layers in the works if this darn molt would be over already!! im want those green eggs!!!

ya when they molt, a lot of feathers come out and they get covered in pin feathers.

I brought Lil'Bit in awhile ago to spend some time with her. I've been picking up feathers all over the living room since.

Mine recently went through their molts. We're not quite back to normal but it has been HOT.
