" Well done," Kodiak said looking proudly down at his son. He watched as the other wolves apeared.

Uquaq,Zing and Grappler listened to the instructions. Grappler glanced angrily at Coldheart.

Grappler was running off to the left, he laid his ears back in dislike of Coldheart.

Uquaq and Zing ran off to the left.Zing barked to scatter the carabou. This would make it esier for them to pick out a sick one. The wolves waited for a signal from Kodiak as to what one to chase. Zing wagged his tail.

Uquaq sniffed skillfully. Somtimes she would aid Kodiak as to what carabou was the sickest.

Coldheart dashed of, nipping one of the carboe. It was the weakest. Since she was beta, she could go of on her own. She barked and let the pack know she founf the weakest. Ginger bolted as fast as possible after coldheart. Garlic sped after her. "speed up, young one" he commanded. Ginger nodded and bolted after her.

Kodiak ran forward and ran the caribou. Finally it tired and he lept in delivering a kill blow to the caribous neck.

Coldheart dashed of, nipping one of the carboe. It was the weakest. Since she was beta, she could go of on her own. She barked and let the pack know she founf the weakest. Ginger bolted as fast as possible after coldheart. Garlic sped after her. "speed up, young one" he commanded. Ginger nodded and bolted after her.

Grappler snapped and 'accidently' bit Coldheart. "Sorry!" he barked a little too happily.

The caribou dropped and died. Kodiak went toward it and smelled to make sure. "Call the pack to feast Kapu". He said. " Your mother would be proud of your first hunt." " Your brother Challenger on the other hand probably couldnt."

Kapu howled his best then looked to his father for approval. He wagged his tail in anticipation. The wolf pack would fatten for the winter. With this big kill the wolves would "camp" around the carcass,guarding it and waking up every few hours to eat individually. "What did you mean about Challenger dad?"

Coldheart growled. " I'll have your tail instead" she said jokingly

Grappler wagged his tail in apology. He needed more time for his plan to develop. "I'm sorry!" he whined.

Zing wagged his tail "When do we eat Alpha?"

Uquaq barked her bark of joy. "OOOoooOOOOoooOOOOOo!"
