Crag frowned slightly at her choice of beta but it quickly went away, Thunderbird was fine, but Dusk? He just didn't seem quite right for the job

Lila was disappointed. She had beta experience and the role was given just to some loner who was never in a pack. For now she kept her temper down.

Dusk was taken by surprise. He expected a wolf who knew what they were doing would be chosen, but he dipped his head and said,"All do respect, but I really don't think I'm up for that job."

Pike perked his ears. This was interesting.
