Sorry to go off topic, but eggs are supposed to be round end up? I've never heard that.

It doesn't matter if you are only eating them, but even eggs you'd buy in the store are big end up in the carton. If you are saving them for hatching, pointy end up can mess up the insides.

We had a goose or duck egg like that, though there was not a yolk in the outer shell.

OUCHIE, that poor hen. I am surprised it didn't cause a prolapse.

That was my first thought! DH's best friend came over and showed us the video. It was funny seeing the guys cringe at the thought of such a large egg!

All I could think of Preparation H! That poor hen!!!

This is why we ALWAYS candle our eggs from the hens for the day.

We do have a big egg, but it was a double. We have found some pretty strange eggs in the barn.

Usually though, we are just making sure the eggs we have do not have a littel one in them.

WOW, cool video !!

Zakly! We would have already spotted that and told them to turn those eggs around pointy end down BYCer.

I had a big egg from my quail. It didn't have a yolk but did have a second normal egg inside of it.

Makes you wonder if the one that laid it is still alive.

When you are upset and someone said, "Now don't go lay an egg"... you can show them this video.
