Wonder who is laying????

Who could they be from???

I have 6 girls. Found these two eggs Monday. Found one on Tuesday that looked just like the larger, darker one. Found two yesterday, just like Monday. And two more today, same as yesterday and Monday.

I have a Red Star that lays extra large darkish brown eggs.

The larger darker one has been typical of my Gold Stars...your auburn colored bird with white markings.

The other one is more typical of my Delawares when they first lay...your white bird with black markings.

From your photos I see 2 of those breeds with bright red combs indicative of laying maturity.

I don't know what your grey bird would lay as I am not familiar with that breed.

Your Black Stars...black birds with red markings or bleed through have typically for me laid a more taupe or beige pink egg.

My guesses as their is a lot of variability between hens in a breed.

Gold Star or Red Star or Red Sexlink or Cinnamon Queen...all red hybrids that lay those lovely big dark red brown eggs.

On second look, while your white bird looks at first glance like a Delaware, it doesn't have yellow legs and it has a lot of brown on its back which makes me think it is a mixed breed or something I'm not thinking of off the top of my head. However, its comb is nicely red so I suspicion it is your second layer. The other one like it also looks ready to lay. Your black stars should be coming on shortly too.

She is probably an Easter egger mix.
