Found this field manual of wildlife disease with the clearest, best necropsy pics I've ever seen. You really ought to save a copy of this manual if you ever open your birds up yourself, what I call a "layman's necropsy". Naturally, testing is needed in many cases to be certain, but observation of the liver, especially, can tell you what the bird died of with a degree of certainty. Of course, not everyone would need this, but it's a fabulous diagnostic tool. I'm sure I dont need to warn you that there are very graphic pictures in this manual, right?
