Wondering About Silkie/Frizzle combos

Flotsen is such a beautiful bird! So are the others! What two breeds/colors were crossed to produce Flotsen?

All i know is that i bought the eggs on ebay from a woman, michelerae123, Melody Farm Fancies. They were listed as Frizzle x Silkie, Polish, Japanese, and Mille Fleur. i was just checking now and she doesn't seem to have any eggs up for sale. But i got a pretty good hatch rate, about 50% - which i think is good for shipped eggs.

i really don't have a lot of information about what all was crossed to get each bird. i can kinda see a bit of each breed in all of them, but to differing degrees.

But Flotsen is a hoot. She's got the weirdest little voice, and whines very loud when she's perturbed. And then i was worried about Carmen integrating with my silkies. Even though they are bantams, Carmen is so teeny i thought she would get picked on. But she really holds her own with the "big" girls.

Well, they are really pretty birds! Are Flotsen, Carmen, and Benicio all siblings (or what ever you call them)?

Hey just wanted to say that I was looking on ebay yesterday and saw that Melody Farm Fancies has eggs up for sale If anyone wanted to lok for some

I know! I sooo wanted to buy them, but I don't have an incubator right now...It said on her ebay page that she was going to sell some next year. I think I might buy some then because I'll have a chance to get ready for them...

i do highly recommend that ebay seller, though. She packed the eggs very well. i bought six and none were broken, plus she put in an extra. Three hatched and one went to about day 18 then stopped. My bater was running too hot, so that may have been the problem.

You will have to let us know if you buy eggs. i would love to see what other people hatch out.

Yeah, I think I will buy some eggs from her. But next year because I don't have an incubator yet. And if I do buy some eggs, I will let everyone know!
