Happy Easter!
As best I know, I have a couple straight run Americana or Easter Egger chicks, and I’m wondering if it’s possible to tell sex based on feather pattern/coloration at 5 weeks old. The first three pictures are of a more blue/gray colored chick with a comb that took on a pink color around 3 weeks of age and has gotten progressively darker. The second set of three pictures is of a chick I am hoping is a female. The comb is not nearly as pink as the chick in the first three pictures, however both chicks chest bump, fluff up neck feathers and exhibit roo behaviors. I do have other pullet chicks, however, and they exhibit the same roo like behaviors so I was looking for a couple other indicating features. Thank you for any insight.
Best,
Katie
