I'm trying to figure out if my 3 wk old Salmon Favorelle is a cockerel or pullet. They're both the same size and the comb is the same. But this one is feathering, including tail, slower. I added a pic of my other one of the same age for comparison.

Feathering doesn't mean anything unless it was bred for. Repost in a month or so.

I think they mean the sexually dimorphic feathers. Or maybe not hehe.

Looks like those breast feathers are coming in black. If so, cockerel.

It matters not how fast the feathers come in. With this breed it matters what color they are. As @Overo Mare stated, if the breast is coming in black; that indicates cockerel. If a fawn or salmon color, then pullet.
