They aren't RIR anyway, they are the wrong colour and they have black in their necks, they might be a sex link, to me they look like Columbian black tails which are a hybrid here in Ireland. Sex links aren't a different strain of RIR either they are crossbred hybrid birds, which have several different breeds in their blood.
As a guess on sex is that the one in the bottom picture might be a cockerel but it is a bit young to tell yet
