So looking at the Hoover's Hatchery catalog, and assuming that, like many hatcheries, they don't sell mixes other than their specialty mixes (Sapphire Stars, for example), or generic mixes like Olive Eggers or Easter Eggers, he looks like a Columbian Wyandotte--they do sell those--but a Wyandotte typically has a rose comb. So, I am guessing that he is the result of a cross between a Columbian Wyandotte and a straight-comb bird, maybe a Delaware? Or maybe he is just a non-standard Wyandotte.
Very nice looking, either way! If you are using him for breeding, the Wyandotte and/or Delaware genes would work toward a large-to-extra-large brown egg. Both Wyandotte and Delaware breeds are good foragers.
