Wondering what is going on!

I'm a first timer and I'm wondering what one of our chicks is doing. He or she, roams around and lays down on it's side. Then it pops back up and roams around some more, is there something wrong health wise or what could it be doing? Our chicks are about 3 weeks old now. Any info would be appreciated.

Maybe it's practicing sun bathing or dustbathing

Chicks melt in the sun. Happens to everyone.

Chicks and adults do lay on their side and then kick dirt or wood shavings around when dust bathing. I'm not sure about the roaming around behavior. I have also seen chicks lay on their side and stretch. I suppose if there are not any other behaviors or symptoms that are concerning, it likely not a problem.

They sure do melt in the sun, especially in AZ.

They sure do love to sunbathe. This was their first outside adventure. (They are 10 months old now.)
