wont eat new feed

i have been feeding my 9 week old rirs chick starter all of their lives and now they wont eat their tritikaly sorrey for spelling how do i get them to eat it

They will eat it when they get hungry enough.

It takes them some time to recognize new foods

ok thanks so should i just give them it or should i still give the starter and should i just like starve them till they start eating it

Try mixing a little with the old food and see if they'll start eating it that way. Then gradually reduce the amount of the old food in favor of the new.

Triticale? Is it a formulated feed or just the one grain? They do need a formulated feed of some sort.

Seems like it would not have enough proteins and vitamins and such if fed alone. MIght need to keep them on starter or grower until laying.

feed them starter 6-8 weeks then grower to 20 weeks and normal food thereafter. always mix when switching.
