My 11 week old chicks must really love their coop because they never want to leave it. It's been weeks since I transitioned them but I have to force them to get out. Is that normal?

yeah they can be a little.. well... CHICKEN lol they'll get used to it mine didn't take quite as long to get used to going in and out... you have the food and water in the run right?

That reminds me of the 11 year old boy who had never spoke a word.
Then one day at breakfast he piped up and said, "pass the biscuits please."
His mommy asked him, "Why haven't you spoke before"?
Well the little boy said, "Up to now everything was honky dory."

Then don't forget that "CHICKEN" also means "Coward"

Feed them outside the coop and I'll wager that you will soon be worried about them spending too much time out of the coop.

Welcome to BYC!

Usually takes a few days for them to venture out, until their curiosity overcomes their fear.
Once you've tossed them out a few times and they've made their way back into the coop, they should go in and out on their own.
Wondering if there's some threat there that they perceive that you do not?

Pis of your coop and run might help us help you figure it out.
