Won't leave nesting box

I have a wonderful chicken named "Marshmallow" and I can't get her to leave the nesting box. Even after removing the eggs that we do not want her to hatch. She will eat and go right back in. My husband noticed this morning when we he picked her up to remove her that her underside was really warm almost like a heated blanket.

This is all normal behavior I would assume, do we just let her do her thing. I worry about her not eating or drinking. We do live in AZ so it gets warm.

If you don’t want her to be broody you might have to “break it”. I know people will put them in “broody jail” which is usually like a small dog crate inside the run. They usually elevate the crate so there is airflow to the chickens belly. They say 3-4 days should do the trick but if you let her out and she goes right back to the nesting box you may have to keep her in there longer.
Hope that helps! ❤️
