woo hoo. i got my licence.

A well deserved CONGRATS to you.......but think about this...

When I got my Pilot's License I had over 90 hours of flight time. How many hours have you been driving?

We all know the first thing you want to do is pile all your friends in the car and go somewhere, anywhere. We all know because we all were there.

Please, please, please resist doing that until you've got some more time behind the wheel!!!!!!!

No amount of "Driver's Education" class can take the place of experience behind the wheel.

It's way too easy to get distracted and crash while B/S(ing) with your buddies, screwing with the radio, text messaging, dialing on the cell phone, eating, putting on makup, reading the freekin paper, or any other completely stupid thing I see EVERY DAY on my way to work.

Think of that shiny new license as permission to go to an abandoned parking lot and practice, practice, practice without someone yapping instructions at you.
When it rains go to an empty parking lot and slide around to see how it feels to loose control. (just don't go fast!)

Enjoy your new freedom, just don't loose it by doing something stupid!

= ) hey thanks. i have like 60-some hours. I didnt take drivers ed, but i've been driving on my farm for forever. = ) it is against the law to have anyone under 21 in the car with you (besides siblings) untill you've held you licence for 6 months. I am super exited. my dad actually taught me to drive on Ice in missouri, it was crazy. Thanks Guys.

Congrats! I was so happy when I got my license at 16. I spent a lot of time and gas (of course it was only .98 cents a gallon then

) driving the back roads. I miss that.

Yes, please use the best of care while driving. Remember, before you let anyone into your car, ask them these simple questions:

- Do you have any warrants?
- Are you carrying any drugs or weapons?
- Are you under the influence of any narcotics?

Then proceed with a pat-down to verify that they are indeed unarmed and not carrying drugs.

Secondly, always drive with your drivers license on your person, and the registration and proof of insurance in your vehicle.

But above everything, please use the utmost of care while operating a motor vehicle on public roadways.

Last and not least, CONGRATULATIONS!!

Enjoy driving! Especially when you don't have to pay for all of it (assuming you don't, if you do, I'm sorry
