Ack! Just went outside to check the girls water and Mary Poppins (my son named our Buff Orp.) is laying on the decoy eggs we put in the nesting box yesterday! Maybe it's finally happening!!!!!

Cross your fingers that she's finally gotten comfortable enough here to do her thang.

It's like waiting for Christmas, isn't it? Mine aren't laying yet and I'm hovering over them, looking for signs.

She fooled me. :| She was up there for about an HOUR, and now She's down with our Barred rock, peckin' away at some yummies like normal. Nothing but a couple fake eggs where she was sitting.

No way! REALLY! That's so awesome! I am waiting on my first egg. A couple of the girls are getting really redfaced so I think I may get one soon.
