my sister did my taxes and i don't have to pay the state
when i got fired from my last job, i discovered they did me dirty!!! i always thought it was strange that i always had to pay the state and everyone else got money back. when i got fired i tried to get unemployment till i could find a new job. i was denied. i thought, uh wow weird. i got a paper showing that i had not made any money!!! after looking over all my W-2's i noticed WOW they had my state listed as NEVADA, i live in CALIFORNIA! needless to say those cheap skates were paying the nevada employee state taxes on me. california taxes were NEVER taken out of my check!! so after my battle with EDD and hiring a lawyer who gave me the money back (my grandpa's money) i gave up. i still owe like 63 dollars. i am not paying them with the money i get back from the feds. i have things to pay for because like a year later i still have no job! (i was fired april 27th, which happeneds to be my evil sister in laws birthday). they can garnish my wages when i get a job or they can take me court. i have evidence that shows my old company was in the wrong.
btw, before i was fired, i tried to fill out a new W-4 because i had a feeling something was wrong. wow then just 2 or 3 months later i'm fired. just awesome!!! i will never shop at that store again!
