HI Y'all

So I haven't posted anything in a while, Still in learning stages of raising/keeping "Happy" Chickens who I am happy to report are starting to follow me around and come to me when I approach the pin/run area, and I have to say I love it!! Now I am in need of wood chips!

However, all that being said, I now have a semi-muddy run due to snow melt. My hubby is working out of state, not around to really help right now so for a short term fix and keep me and the girls happy with the research I have done, I'm learning Wood Chips (pine) are a great solution for short and long term! I'm also told I can get them for Free from local tree service's

That being said, has anyone in the Sandpoint/Sagle area done this and found a tree service willing to give up chips for free?? I would be very blessed and pleased to learn that this is something I can do. I have a Subaru Outback I can put bags of chips in . . .

Thank you for your help . . .

Do you have space for a truckload? Don't expect to get chips from tree companies in bagged form... if you have room to store them, have them drop a half or full load on your property and you'll have litter for years.

Chipdrop.com is an option that can help with putting you in touch with tree companies, or you can just call different local companies to see if they'll do it. Around here, many tree service trucks have 1-800 numbers on the back for free chip drops.
