I'm new to raising chickens but getting the hang of it. I have 3 presently, and recently built a larger coop to accommodate up to 12, however, I only need no more than 6.

Does anyone in the Chicagoland area know of or have buff orphingtons or easter egger/ameraucanas?

Hi and welcome to BYC - thanks for joining us. You can look on the buy/sell/trade forum and see what's available, but you need to have made 20 posts before you can participate.

You may wish to consider joining your state thread as it will put you in touch with other BYC members in your area - http://www.backyardchickens.com/t/270925/find-your-states-thread#post_3239224

All the best

I think there is a Chicagoland Chicken Fanciers club, you may find it through google.
People in Chicago are allowed to have hens and roosters. Members may have breeds you are interested. I know the club also holds coop tours in the area etc.

Hi, I noticed your post is from Wood Dale, IL. I like to raise chickens in my backyard, but is it allowed?

Hello, @nclang10, the OP or the original poster hasn't been on BackYard Chickens since May, 2018. I would try posting in you state thread (click "State Thread"). By the way, welcome to BackYard Chickens. Thank you for joining our community. ☺️
