wood duck shelter?

so I have wood ducks and have a coop for my other ducks but the woodies refuse to go in. Is there any shelter I could make them for outside at night? It gets down in the teens most nights in the winter around here

Figure out where they roost at night. Build a "regular" ground box and place it there.
Mine frequent ground boxes in a stand of scrub (trees) for day roosting and water roost at night.

Ok yeah I had noticed the sleep on the water even when it freezes! I could definitely build a ground box thanks.
