Anyone who would have or know where to find wood ducks for sale? I am in Texas.

I usually see a lot of eggs on EBay, but i think it's out of season now so you probably won't find many eggs

Hatching wild duck eggs is tricky I wouldn't try to hatch any that I didn't pick up locally. Do an internet search and you will find breeders. I only hatched one this year and sold it in summer. Most breeders ship you can start here. hilltopfarms-Breeddirectory-Rhode Island (hilltopfarmsny.com)

Yea it's late in the season. You could also try Exotic ducks on Facebook. You can't directly sell or buy there but you could post "looking for" or "ISO wood ducks" and IM from there.

Isn’t hatching wild wood duck eggs illegal? A person needs a permit to collect native species. Don’t steal eggs from the wild.

Yes it's illegal to collect native species from the wild don't do it. I and many other raise captive bread native species. They are also marked one of 3 ways either a tattoo, seamless band or a toe removed. I can sell the ducks or eggs but I have a federal and state permit to do so. You don't need the permit to buy them from a breeder and keep them just not sell anything. Some states have their own rules. You get a copy of the sale and disposition form that proves you bought the duck and where it came from I also keep a copy for my records and send a copy to the feds.

I don't think anyone was talking about collecting eggs from the wild and hatching them. They were taking about ordering the eggs online to hatch them.
