Wood shavings on CL

Is the below a good idea? This ad is always up.

Even if the shavings aren't from "oily residue" wood, wouldn't the vast majority of those shavings be from chemically treated wood? ie- the particle board in the background?

I started to get some from a mill down the road the other and the chemical smell coming from them was unbeleivable.. I would probably just call and ask if its treated wood and go form there..

I called, no treated woods. They do the pre-construction for cabinets and stuff. He said they throw away all the hardwood shavings, so maybe it will be ok. I will do a search to make sure basswood doesn't irritate the chickens.
