Woodchuck in chicken coop

I had 2 woodchucks in my fenced yard.First one actually chewed apart the chain links in my 6 foot chain link fence. I was so angry! It also had dug multiple holes along the fence line to escape. I caught and killed it in a day. Then to my suprise I noticed another ground hog in the yard a few weeks later. I blocked the one hole I could find and chased it around the yard.Catching by hand is do-able,but darn watch out for those huge teeth! Dispatched it right away.So far no more, but I bet you there are some living in the woods just waiting to chew through my fence again and eat my fruits and veggies. I feel really bad dispatching them, but I simply can not afford to feed them too.Darn rabbits and squirrels are bad enough!

Just wanted to add that my groundhogs I would see in the afternoons walking across my open yard.Glad I did not have to stay up all night looking for them!

Likely looking for a sunny spot to catch some rays, they love large rocks out in the afternoon sun also. In fact that was the downfall of woodchuck number two this summer.
