It's gorgeous...no, it will not scare off predators....but it will please your eye every day.

Well....we were going to wait another week or 2 to acclimate the chicks but when I went to check on them this morning they were out of the brooder?! None of them were fighting but I could tell they were looking for shelter so I improvised....going ok so far, hoping for no altercations

Haha!!! You are dead on....Big Red was in the brooder and all the chicks were out so I’m pretty sure she is the baddy.

Omg I love the fox! I love the whole coop but that fox!

I do!!!! I’ve made a few minor changes like adding a vinyl floor for easy cleaning and getting rid of the heavy wooden beat boxes for the plastic one and that hang on the wall. I also added a few radiant hot plates on the walls near the roosts and a light. I don’t think the heat is necessary but my Silkie and sebright sure do appreciate it! Next I need to figure out a poop board and a dusting box. My hens are very happy and so am I!!
