So I was down to 5 guineas and thinking about ordering some more. I hadn't seen any eggs for quite awhile (they free range all day and coop at night) and I knew they probably had an egg clutch somewhere but I hadn't found it so far or really given it too much thought (still knew to this). However a couple weeks ago I was down to four guineas each night. I don't know if they were taking turns or what but all the sudden today I see five again. I decide to head to the corner of my property where they like to hang out and sure enough two of them are running around the edge of the tall grass and wheat field. I walk a little closer to see if there are eggs and I see movement in the grass EVERYWHERE. I get closer and yep baby keets probably 3-5 days old all over the place. Having read and been told several times how lame guinea moms are we managed to catch them but left three with the mommas ( have three females) to see how they do and because I and the kiddos felt bad taking them all. My kids were super stoked!
