None of my hens have laid any eggs since Oct. My SS started laying an egg every other day about 2 weeks ago. Look at what I discovered this afternoon in two different nests!!! I know the greenish-blue eggs are from my bantam EE, and that the larger brown eggs could be from my SS, BR or SLW. I'm stumped on the small cream colored eggs. Could be from the hamburg or the polish mix. The splash andys should lay white eggs; these are cream, not white.
I recently set up a pen close by for a RIR bantam rooster...I wonder if he encouraged the girls to lay? He's not in with the hens yet. When I added him to the pen, the girls were sure glad to see him.
