I went out this morning to let all the animals up and in buried in the bedding of the duck house was a tiny little greenish egg.
I've looked around and I think it's the Khaki Campbell and not the Abacot. I'll upload a picture later if anyone would be willing to confirm this for me :)

Congrats on the Egg!! My KC is laying white eggs for me. I am looking forward to my big green Rouen eggs this spring.

Yeah, I just cleaned off the egg to try and work the misses camera and it is much whiter now I've looked more closely at it.
It's her egg so it is very small and seem abnormally heavy, is this normal?

Sometimes, when ducks just start laying, you can get some unusual eggs. Little ones, double-yolkers, odd shells, etc. It happens.

Now that they're starting to lay, are you giving them a calcium supplement?

The ducks were a birthday present from my fiance's parents because I said "I don't know what I want" lol! The Abacot has always attracted attention on here. I didn't realise she was so special! I even had a message saying if she ever had fertile eggs how much would I be willing to sell them for!

Today is the first egg that has been lay, I'll likely give them some kind of calcium supplement if their food doesn't already cover it.

Sorry for the late reply!

Patty (The Abacot) Has brown specs on her head but has the most beautiful blue feathers under her wings, its just a shame they were her flight feathers!
Selma (The Khaki) Has a very dark head but I suppose like most ducks it probably has a tiny to it in certain lights.
