Hopefully you will have a good hatch in FWz RCOM.

what do you thinks went wrong, did a temp/humidity problem occur? just curious as you may have one or two fully form and die in the shell, and one or two within 24 hours, that is part of the death gene in the serama breeding.

BUT as always i am happy to replace your eggs for the shipping, i don't want you to give up on the little serama birds. they are neat guys, but can be a real pain in the butt to hatch at times...

NO BACK OF THE HEAD GUARANTEE HERE. ALWAYS A HAPPY CUSTOMER....

let me know and i will send some out to you.

sometimes i have great easy hatches and sometimes i don't. i still scratch my head with these birds. sometimes you could not kill them if you tried and other times you think everything is going great, and 2-3 fall over dead. and yes i do help them at times. and about 50% of the time they were meant to die and do. i still am learning with every hatch. the last hatch i had last week is going great and about 90% and no deaths or none in shells. only had to help one out of the shell. the hatch before that--o boy what a bad hatch-- i did the same as always-nothing different and still had losses and still born in the shell. ???? i dont understand... but i am and will be learning as i go. and if you have a bad hatch don't worry i am happy to help you out again..

Hi Frank - I'm sad to say I didn't have any hatch. At day 18 there were at least 5 moving in shell. At day 19 I started watching for pips but it was the Barred Rocks that started pipping. I did have to help each one of them out o shell because they were really packed in there. Overnight 6 EEs hatched all by themselves but they were so much smaller than BRs. So far 14 out of 16 of the EE and BR eggs have hatched - still have 2 in bator along with the Serama eggs.

Not sure what went wrong when it was still looking so good for at least 5 of them the night before. All eggs were in same bator.

I really appreciate your offer to help or replace the eggs but I think I have my hands full now and since our chickens free range and run around farm at will, in barn, stables, carriage house, etc. I think I better stick to the hardier breeds that don't need a lot of special care.

I' still holding out hope though - you know me, never give up. I'll leave the little eggs in bator undisturbed for a few more days. Maybe all the commotion on day 19 messed them up. Maybe it was all the temp highs/lows and/or humidity issues - maybe it was me.
