Woot woo!! What colored eggs?

My duck laid an egg!!!

I'm a little excited ... doesn't take much apparently. They laid it in their house but I don't know which duck laid it. Do ducks lay different colored eggs depending on breed like chickens do?

Congratulations on the first eggs!! The best way if you have many ducks, is to separate several off in pens of their own, overnight. My ducks lay at either 7-10 AM in the morning. I've been getting a medium sized white egg. I know it's either my Rouen, Runner, Khaki Campbell, Magpies, or Pekin mix.. Not sure which! I'm going to separate my Rouen hen off tonight by herself. Thanks! Our egg today was a kind of muddy white. We only have two girls, a blue swedish and a khaki campbell and both are exactly the same age so I guess it's a toss up. We may separate one of these days and see but it's not really an issue yet. We want to incubate some early next spring so I'll guess we'll find out by then or get some surprise packages. Lol.
