Hello all!!! Being hanging out here in the background for sometime and after all of the research/reading I've done here, I went out and got my first 6 bantam chickies. I know I got a gold and silver bantam, just don't remember the others. I built my own brooder yesterday. Boy, was that a chore. First thing I have ever built too!

I'll take some pics and figure out how to add them here later. I also purchased an incubator. The Little Giant. After reading about everyone's excitement on hatching eggs, I want to try it!!! I'm waiting to see if anyone will post eggs from RIR, Barred Rock, Orpingtons and Sussex.

Congrats on the new chicks, they'll grow really fast. So plan on the run and coop soon, it doesn't take long before you'll want them outside assuming they're in your dining room or bath or inside the house.
 
I think I do...I feel bad for my Husband. I talk about all the neat chickens, the coops, how we're going to finish ours, hatching eggs and on and on. He's going nuts! I've been dreaming about them too!

Now I keep going out to the chickies, looking at them, holding them, petting, etc....I'm suppose to be out in the garden planting. Boy I think I'll be hearing about it today
