I was JUST complaining to my friend today about how none of my hens are laying at the moment (excuse me, ONE of them is, but the other 16 or so are not) and about an hour later, I hear all of this commotion coming from the chicken coop, I go to investigate and low and behold, one of my RIR girls (who is 8 months old, mind you) had laid her FIRST egg!!! IT'S ABOUT TIME! Maybe the rest will start/pick back up now.
