I bought a couple new Silkie babies from a local breeder a few weeks ago (they are four weeks old now), and one is still puzzling me as far as color...it looks like it is going to be a dark buff. The other which I had resigned myself to thinking was going to be white (I was dying for a splash)

has dark feathers coming in! I have a splash!! I'll get *baby* pic and some new pics on here this afternoon. I am pretty happy

Actually, I'm wondering about this chicks color too. Her (hopefully HER) new black feathers *seem* to be black from the shaft all the way down... is there a small possibility she might be paint?? I will get my roommate to hold her tonight so I can get pics. The dark feathering is kind of "peppered" through her white feathers. Hmmmmm....
