Todays progress... a few more cut outs for the chicken door , vents and front window and the roof to go on , then paint and we are good to go

Just the roof and mesh for the windows to go on then its ready for paint ! That will be tomorrow's project

Looks great to me. You said this is a 5 ft by 5 ft? It looks large enough for you to walk into for cleaning. That is so helpful. It's a larger version of the mini coop I built for my littles. My rooster will be moving in as soon as the littles are integrated with the old hens.

Yes it is tall enough for us to go in and we went 6x5 ... I am quite happy with it so far. First coat of protector stain went on this afternoon

Edge of roof looks odd...are there vents under there?

Yes there are ... front to back as well as on the side

Forgot to do under the roof that will get done another day lol for now at least the rest is done !
