This is my rabbit hutch turned chicken coop... I dont love it but it works for the time being. My plan is to take the divinding wall out to give my 3 more space , and add a nesting box . I will be cutting about a foot off the bottom pen area so the coop stands roughly 3 feet . This will allow me to place it inside an old 14 foot trampoline frame which I will fence in. I will be adding about 2.5 -3 feet of extra height to the trampoline with 2x2s so i can do coop maintenance without having to duck walk to the coop lol anyway this is the plan. Seeing as i have zero carpentry skills of any kind but was blessed with a great imagination we will see how it goes :idunno
Posted a few pics of where i am now .

How many chickens do you have? Your location is needed to determine any climate related issues. How is the predator population? These are important questions to address when building housing for your birds.
I have 3 chicks , live in eastern canada, live in the country but minimal predators... our corso sees to that :) I have decided to upgrade them to a 5x5 coop and use the small one as an isolation pen or brooder if needed

Remember chickens HATE walking on snow, so when it snows they will likely be inside the house for long periods of time or even all day.

If they don't have enough space they will get cabin fever and start picking on each other.
