thanks you guys...my son got the barrels and cut them for me...don't know where exactly he got them but I am sure they can be found...it was a simple idea and I like them because they are easily cleaned...and they are roomy...I love it when the girls wait in line for the favored spots when other spots are available...the two EEs whom we call Blue Butt One and Blue Butt Two, are waiting in line...will add a few more pics in just a minute...

this is one of my broody Cochins sitting in one third of a barrel behind the other nesting barrels...her name is Wendy

Love the barrels also...very neat set up!

a shot of the barrels before we had all the dividers and such in...he made a rack of 2 X 4s and used wood screws to mount the barrels...the bottom ones are a bit forward of the top ones and he added the "front porch steps" as he went along...very efficient and again I like to be able to clean them out easily...
