World record chicken egg?

I read this in my local news online. A chicken egg that measures 17 cm around. Anybody know what the world record size is?

I really doubt that's a world record. We have a black australorp that lays an egg that size pretty regularly. I did measure this one and it was 17 cm around. I ate it for lunch.

I didn't think it was either but they were making a really big deal about it in the paper, so I figured someone might know.
