World's only silent Roo?

Well, seems to work with cats! My kitty Puck is lazy, docile and the sweetest cat you'd ever want to meet! Sure doesn't act like any of the tomcats I knew when I was growing up.

He definitely looks like a boy - more every day! So hopefully he stays quiet. I live in Catonsville; I'm trying to get the Baltimore County law changed (Facebook group = Chicken Revolution, Charm City Chickens), but for now -- I have awesome neighbors... Urban chickens are the wave of the future - they provide food security, divert sold food waste, and they contribute to soil fertility!!!

You don't have to convince me!! Let me know if I can assist in your "chicken fight" with Baltimore County. Also, If you decide to caponize your roo and aren't up to doing it yourself, I'm going to make my vet/boss do it for me if I hatch any roos I want to keep (or just to experiment with the theory). I, myself believe in pain-free surgery whenever possible so, I can't imagine doing on the kitchen table (yet). He's in Clarksburg, MD if you want to make that choice. If your just doing one pet it's probably worth the cost just as it would be for a dog or cat. Just a thought or option should it go that way. By the way, I think "lazy" and "docile" were adjectives used to describe capons

Thanks! For now, I'll keep my fingers crossed. I went out this morning and he was clucking a little like the other hens. Hmmm, maybe he won't figure it all out.
