Worm in chicken egg?

First time chicken owner here: I adopted some ~2 year old hens that have never been dewormed. I cracked an egg open this morning and found this. Is it a worm? Is it just part of the egg? If it’s a worm what kind of dewormer do you all use?

Oh that's just a little extra protein

Below is a link for an excellent video of an egg developing. It made me far less queasy when I would find random little things in there. There is a lot of steps where a little anomaly can make the egg "not perfect".
