worm in egg?!

found this in an egg yesterday. on a facebook group a few people are guessing some type of worm. i hope this post is ok here. other options didnt seem to fit. and all the post a poll stuff underneath here is confusing...am i limiting who sees or responds to this by the way thats set up?! hopefully not. so, whats going on with my egg?! thanks!!!

I don’t have that much experience with hatching eggs, or basically this problem. But maybe it is a dud egg? How was the hen’s next egg?

I doubt that it is worm. Roundworm very rarely can be found in an egg, but those are very long and thin. See pic below. I have never seen it, but it can happen. Meat spots are more common, so I would think it would be related to that, or to the chalazae (the two white bands that connect the yolk. Here is a good link about problems with eggs:

phew! thanks. i thought it might be something like that, and looking at a few more things, it seems chalaza with a meat spot is more likely.

I havent checked any other eggs yet. and cant be sure which hen any egg comes from. but it seems like its more likely chalaza with a meat spot. thanks for the reply tho.
