Worm medication

Was told I should worm my small flock (6) on occasion. Went to feed store and bought some Wazine 17 which has an active ingredient of Piperazine Base - BUT the warning label says do not medicate chickens producing eggs for human consumption! Did I buy the wrong thing? No evidence of worms, just thought it would be good to do. Is there another medication for my hens where eating the eggs is no problem?
